The research highlighted different challenges across teachers, parents, and students, but they all point to a gap in clear and connected communication.
Teachers deal with heavy admin work, repeated questions, and too many communication channels.

Students face low engagement, difficulty asking doubts, and pressure to perform.
Important information can easily get missed, creating confusion for everyone.
This showed the need for a more organised, supportive, and engaging platform connecting all three.
THE PROBLEM
Disconnected communication makes it harder for teachers, parents, and students to stay informed, supported, and engaged.
School communication is often scattered across chats, messages, and different systems, making it difficult for teachers, parents, and students to stay on the same page. Teachers spend valuable time handling repetitive communication and administrative tasks, while parents struggle to understand updates and their child’s progress. Students may miss important information, lose motivation, or hesitate to ask for help. This lack of clarity creates confusion, stress, and disconnection between the three.
Ideation
Exploring ideas to create a more connected, organised, and engaging learning experience.
The ideation phase focused on exploring different ways to improve communication and learning between students, teachers, and parents. Multiple ideas were generated around smart notifications, progress tracking, AI learning support, doubt solving, attendance, and personalised dashboards. These ideas were then evaluated based on usefulness, simplicity, and impact, helping narrow them down into a connected platform that could address the needs of all three users.

Building a flexible content system
The final design brings students, teachers, and parents into one connected platform, with each user receiving a personalised dashboard based on their needs. The interface uses a clean, simple, and organised visual system to make important information easy to find and understand. Features such as AI learning support, attendance, progress tracking, notifications, assignments, and communication work together to reduce confusion and improve engagement. The design focuses on creating a smoother experience for everyone while keeping the platform intuitive and easy to navigate.
User Journey
The user journey maps how students, teachers, and parents interact with EduMind from login to completing their key tasks. Each user gets a personalised experience based on their role, while important information such as updates, assignments, attendance, progress, and communication stays connected. The journey was designed to reduce unnecessary steps, make information easier to find, and create a smoother experience across all three users.
Outcome
Final Design
The final screens bring the EduMind experience to life through a clean, simple, and role-based interface. Each screen is designed around the specific needs of students, teachers, and parents, while keeping the overall experience consistent. From personalised dashboards and AI learning support to attendance, assignments, progress tracking, notifications, and communication, the screens work together as one connected system. The focus is on making everyday school tasks easy to understand, quick to access, and less overwhelming.
